Llafur Spring Series 2021 – Episode 3: Heritage and Memory – Exploring Jewish Wales

event Held On 11/03/2021

Jews and Judaism have been components of Welsh life since the mid-eighteenth century. By extension, the story of the Welsh-Jewish diaspora is both a tale of geographically diverse communities and individuals, from Bangor to Swansea, and a narrative of both population growth and decline. An often-overlooked aspect of the religious, social and cultural past of Wales, the hidden history of Welsh Jewry is also in the process of being told and safeguarded in both innovative and exciting ways. To explore both this history and its preservation, join us and our guest speakers Cai Parry-Jones, Nathan Abrams and John Minkes for a discussion on Jewish Wales and its heritage.
