Llafur: Welsh People’s History Society’s purpose is to bring together people from all walks of life with a common interest in Welsh people’s history. We organise a wide range of events looking at aspects of our history and publish the journal Llafur.

What personal data we collect

Llafur: Welsh People’s History Society collects personal data from its subscribers comprising name, address, email address and telephone number. Occasionally other personal data may be collected from sources such as attendance lists at events, documentation of personal achievement and publication awards, and records of sales including publications.

What we will do with the data

Llafur: Welsh People’s History Society will use this data to send subscribers its annual journal, Llafur, and newsletter.  We may also use it to send you mailings relating to news of events and information of interest.  We may also use your information for aggregate data analysis so that we can monitor membership numbers and location.  We do not share your data with other organisations.

How we will store the data

Llafur: Welsh People’s History Society will store your data on a database held by our membership and website provider which is maintained to strict standards of security and in accordance with Llafur: Welsh People’s History Society data protection policy.

How can I submit a ‘Subject Access Request’?
